Job Summary
The Tax Expert is responsible for the set up and improvement of tax processes, the monitoring of tax risks as well as the methodology development. He/she is further responsible for tax calculations, reporting and payments as well as for the communication with tax advisor, the tax regulator, the management and the tax department of the shareholder Sberbank of Russia. Your Tasks and Responsibilities

Developing system requirements and improvements for tax reporting processes with Accounting and Operations (VAT, "Abzugsteuer", income tax, transfer pricing)
Maintaining the tax certificates database: listing existing certificates, collection of certificates, regular and ad-hoc update of the process
Facilitating workshops for other departments to ensure compliance with tax regulations
Preparation and review of the monthly, quarterly and annual tax calculations and reports, review of bigger bookings for correctness of VAT codes, calculation of deferred tax base under local accounting and IFRS standards
Drafting annual declarations for VAT, income tax, banking tax and communication with the tax advisor
Developing internal regulations and policies to facilitate tax compliance in the bank
Responsibility for transfer pricing and for head office charges
Tax risk management: preparation and review of the tax risks report of Sberbank Europe AG and of the group alignment with subsidiary banks; drafting of local and review of group risk materiality-tax risks section, preparation of operational risk assessment


Your Profile

Master's degree in Economics or Law
Minimum 5 years of experience in Tax, preferably in banking, tax management within financial institutions
General know how on: taxation of banking products, general corporate taxation, taxation on capital markets, international tax and transfer pricing principles and documentation; practical implementation of tax regulations into banking processes; knowledge of accounting principles and reporting standards in banking; awareness of valuation principles
Language requirements: upper intermediary in English, fluent in German (reading and speaking skills), understanding and use of legal language

Annual gross salary starting from € 40.009 based on our collective bargaining agreement (for 38,5 hours/week) - additional payment according to skills and experience. The position can be filled as soon as possible.
