Job Summary
The Data Governance Specialist is a cross-functional role which relates mainly to the coordination of information and data between departments within Sberbank Europe AG and the group (IT and Business). He/She is responsible for managing data areas across the bank while ensuring high levels of data quality, integrity, availability and security. Interested? Read on! Your Tasks and Responsibilities

Establish and implement data governance and data quality policies, procedures, methodologies and processes ensuring high data quality across the group
Maintain Business Glossary framework across the group
Keep track of data quality tickets in Jira, initiate necessary actions, track execution and escalate if needed
Prepare consolidated data governance and data quality reports on Sberbank Europe AG and group level
Prepare and document Data Governance Councils, maintain action log, make sure actions are performed and escalate if needed
Analyse the data quality reports and make recommendations for improvements
Support definition and alignment of information requirements submitted by data users via regular demand management process
Support monitoring of data delivery dates, create analysis and recommendations in case of data delivery problems
Make sure that all supported data deliveries are regular and structured
Continuously improve data governance and data quality processes, practices and controls
Provide second line of support in terms of data deliveries from the local banks, taking care of their timeliness, correctness and completeness, and own the process of root cause analysis in case of data problems or inconsistencies


Your Profile

University degree in IT or business or similar field, any additional banking training and certificate is an advantage
3 to 5 years of relevant banking industry experience
Knowledge of data quality frameworks and tools (SQL, BCBS-239)
Strong written and oral communication skills in English and German
Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), DWH, Reporting Tools (MS Reporting Services, PowerBI, etc.)

Annual gross salary starting from € 39.839 based on our collective bargaining agreement (for 38,5 hours/week) - additional payment according to skills and experience. The position can be filled as soon as possible.
